SQ Subjective Results:
"Honestly, I was a little disappointed with the RL-p. On "Wayfaring Stranger", the bass line was "lazy", for lack of a better term - it seemed to pick and choose the notes it wanted to play, and the results weren't pleasing. "The Battle" lacked command on the bottom octave, sounding a lot like the weak LFE of the Dayton Reference" -JimJ
Notes:
- Build quality is excellent
- Cone got extremely hot during testing. This is probably due to the wicking properties of the metal cone. Coil temps stayed within non-failure limits.
- SPL box testing was limited to 1000 watts, due to the woofer nearing its mechanical limits
- Woofer should be ok with musical content over RMS rating(under 1100 watts)
Special Thanks:
Mike and Soundsplinter for providing the woofer for testing.. You can check them out at http://www.soundsplinter.com/.
